Listen To The Local Music Bonanza!!
Audiophil's Records
This Show started off as a podcast about the musicians and artists that hung around Chicago Street Pub in Downtown Joliet. I was eventually asked to go on the air at college radio station 88.7 fm WCSF out of the University of Saint Francis. David Francis was my sound engineer and Co-Host. He helped come up with the name of the podcast. We called it What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town. The year 2020 forced many changes in life. I'm flying solo these days as I focus on music. I give a list of shows taking place in the Chicagoland area during the show. I always try to find some downloadable tunes from the bands playing at those events for you to sample. You can also hear brand new music released by artists in Illinois and beyond. There's a good number of out of town bands that travel to our Joliet community to perform. There's been so many gems discovered at Chicago Street Pub, Elder Brewing, The Drunken Doughnut, and Blue Island Beer Company. Below you'll find a list of links directing to a page or site for all the Bonanzanites that I've had on the show throughout the years. They are simply listed alphabetically. It's constantly being updated so let me know if there's something missing. Enjoy your tour of The Local Music Bonanza.
Third City Sound
I can't say enough good things about this recording studio. They are located in the heart of the Joliet scene on the third floor above Chicago Street Pub. Not only did they make the What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town Podcast possible, but they've recorded a large number of the bands played on The Local Music Bonanza. They have the knowledge, gear, and experience to capture the essence of the music. They take every project seriously as they are musicians themselves. Follow the link below to visit their website.
MoatzArt Graphic Design & Web Development
I'd like to thank Brent at MoatzArt for creating this logo for the show. He always knocks it out of the park. He does great album covers and flyers as well. His work for the New Orleans North Festival in Downtown Joliet was amazing! He is extremely talented and knowledgeable in the field of web design. He sent me to a platform to create this very website quickly and easily. I appreciate that he took my situation into consideration when helping me get what I needed. He's an active member of the Joliet Music Scene on and off the stage. He just so happens to be the front man of The Righteous Hillbillies!
