The One Armed Lesson Series

I wanted to devise some exercises and songs that could focus on the use of the open strings for the benefit of any person that may not be able to use one arm. I had a student break their wrist just before starting lessons with me. I though to myself, " What a rip off!" I could imagine being excited to start playing an instrument only to wait another six to eight weeks. I thought about some rhythmic exercises and songs that could be easily and recognizably played on the open strings alone. I'll be adding some videos and exercises moving forward. Let me know if these are in any way helpful!

Below you'll find links to my videos as well as tablature to go along with it.

In this book, you'll learn to play some exercises and songs using exclusively open strings. I was inspired to put this together for students that perhaps have injured an arm, but still would like to play their bass. In fact, one of my students broke their wrist before even getting a chance to start lessons. Watch for more lesson in this series on
